Partnership for Change
The role of the Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) in implementing the Millennium Development Goals
The Partnership for Change project was born at the World Social Forum in 2007 in Nairobi where, on more than one occasion many african civil society associations drew attention to the impact and the counter-productive effects the Epas (Economic Partnership Agreements) could have on the policies fighting against poverty. Hence the idea and will to create instruments that, through the work of networks and synergies with the many organisations that are dealing with this theme in the North and South of the world, might contribute to increase the awareness of the actors of the international European co-operation regarding the importance of these polices and to involve European parliamentarians to reflect on the necessity for greater coherence in development policies.
