TJM meets with EU Trade Commissioner
Members of UK's Trade Justice Movement (TJM) met with the EU Trade Commissioner, Baroness Ashton to present 4500 postcards sent by members of the public asking for a review of EU trade policy. 1500 online cards were also sent. The 'Be A Trade Hero' campaign, supported by RISC, also distributed 600 packs to activists in the lead up to the elections, asking candidates to sign the pledge to support calls for a re-think of EU trade policy. 80 pledges were signed and 18 candidates were successful. In the coming months they will be asked to fulfill their promise.
